Philips Introduces Light Source for High-Intensity Surgical Lighting
New APEX Products combine high illumination and performance to provide the best quality for lighting in healthcare facilities
CHATSWORTH, CA (March 1, 2011) – Philips Burton, a leader in procedure and minor surgery lighting equipment, introduces APEX, new line of surgical lighting with reliable operation, simplicity and ease of use. The APEX products have a 4200 Kelvin color temperature and a 95 CRI, creating high-intensity, pure white lighting necessary to create optimal visibility in healthcare environments.
Ideal for surgical lighting in operating rooms, emergency rooms and trauma centers, APEX features a durable, aesthetic arm system that is recognized for drift-free and trouble-free operation, offering an unlimited arm rotation. Products also include a convenient center handle for an exceptionally smooth focus and a sterilizable handle that locks into position with one hand, adjusting easily and helping prevent the spread of germs and bacteria in healthcare facilities.
The product is available in two mounting options, including single and dual ceiling mounts. Moreover, APEX include a multi-bulb design that eliminates the need for back-up systems in single source lights, unique internal heat shields to ensure low heat output, and continuous dimming adjustments from the control panel.
