Position: Material Handler 

Department: Production

Position Description/Responsibilities:
• Support shipping of customer orders by pulling from inventory, production, staging finished
product, and shipping via various carriers.
• Working knowledge and use of third-party logistics software (UPS & FedEx) for shipments,
tracking information, and order history.
• Maintain proper distribution of incoming materials by following incoming inspection process
and put away of materials into correct locations.
• Maintain inventory by correctly identifying, labeling and placing of materials and supplies in
correct inventory location.
• Locate materials and supplies for production orders by pulling and verifying materials. Supply
production areas with needed materials and supplies
• Support Receiving and Incoming Inspection process by verifying in coming materials per
specification and logging into ERP system.
• Log data timely and accurately into the ERP system
• Support assembly work, where needed, as required by Production Manager, follow assembly
drawings, work instructions, and/or Manufacturing Outline. Label and pack products.
• Verify that parts used in assembly are in perfect condition.
• Follow safety guidelines/instructions when using equipment/tools.
• Maintain tools and equipment (eg. forklifts, compactor) used in material handling as required.
• Notify Production Manager or Head of Quality of discrepancies or variances.
• Clean and sweep work area daily, or as needed.
• Support initiatives (lean, new products, etc.) to improve efficiency and grow sales.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Ability to read and follow work instruction and drawings written in English.
• Basic computer skills, ability to log into and accurately enter data into NetSuite.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity.
• Excellent attention to detail and care in product handling and storage.
• Ability to prepare, assemble and wrap pallets for LTL shipments.
• Willingness and ability to follow factory safety and health procedures.
• Ability to lift 45 pounds.
• Ability to use a pallet jack and forklift and related equipment.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime (evenings and weekends) as needed.

Preferences:
• Three (3) years Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse experience.
• Forklift Operators Certificate
• Material handling experience
