Burton Medical Offers Light Caress Fixtures for Multi-Function Lighting for Acute Care Patient Rooms
Light Caress fixtures are available in three styles to deliver performance, durability and aesthetics.
CHATSWORTH, CA (January 18, 2011) – Burton Medical, Inc., the leader in examination and minor surgery lighting equipment, introduces Light Caress AC, PC and XC fixtures that incorporate a full complement of lighting functions in one unit for acute care patient rooms for both patients and healthcare professionals.
The Light Caress AC fixture has a contemporary design that extends only four inches from the wall, minimizing interference with other equipment. Its two separate lamp compartments provide ambient and reading illumination. The fixture’s top compartment rotates to direct illumination toward the patient for examinations. The bottom compartment, utilizing either a T5SHO or T5 fluorescent lamps, can also be rotated to serve an as examination light. In addition, an LED chart light and night light reside in the fixture’s end cap. The fixture is ETL and CETL listed.
Light Caress PC blends traditional appearance with features and performance for modern design patient rooms. Its unique extruded aluminum housing, replicating architectural woodwork, holds dual 3500K T8 fluorescent lamps in two compartments to provide both direct and indirect illumination. Light Caress PC also features a lift-out chassis with a quick electrical disconnect, which can be removed independently from the housing for ease of installation and service. Light Caress PC is UL and CUL listed for damp locations and is IBEW listed.
Light Caress XC features a three-piece assembly that simplifies installation, servicing and cleaning. Its smooth form with die cast aluminum end caps and extruded aluminum body reduces the visual impact on the wall and ensures durability. The fixture has two separate lamps compartments, containing 3500K T8 fluorescent lamps, to provide ambient and reading lighting. Light Caress XC is also UL and CUL listed for damp locations and is IBEW listed.
Each Light Caress fixture offers a variety of lamps configurations to fit applications; provides a four-position pull chain switch (120V) that initiates sequential control of the indirect and direct lamp compartments; and has a standard antimicrobial finish that supports infection control protocol.
